Introduction:
Foreign aid, a $100 billion dollar international business, yet has foreign aid really increased economic growth or stun it. Foreign aid has been controversial from its beginnings. Designed in the 1950’s to help bridge the gap in resources between rich and poor countries, foreign aid has become a vital source of income for developing countries. Though has this just pushed these developing nations further into debt or does it stimulate economic growth to help reduce the debt those nations have. There are many economists that argue this foreign aid does achieve its goals in helping provide access to modern technology, close the foreign exchange gap and allow more convent and easier access to the world markets. There are many benefits and also many costs associated with wealthy nations providing foreign but do these benefit help these developing nations or do the costs for both nations involved outweigh the benefits. With many decades of use and many developing countries becoming developed nations these is plenty of knowledge and research to show the affect that foreign aid has on developing countries.
