English Assistance

Hello,
This is my first time in this form and I hope I can benefit from it on improving my English. I have an assignment in my English class where I have to write an Email to my classmates introducing myself to them. However I'm not sure about the grammar and the words I'm using here. Can someone help me please?

Hello classmates,
My name is Abdul from Saudi Arabia. I came to Canada 3 years ago to learn English skills but then when I finished with that I decided to take the challenge and continue my education by taking my degree here in Canada. When I first came here my English wasn't good enough to even order food from McDonald's but because I love learning other languages I worked hard to be what I am right now. I'm an outgoing person, I go to the gym 4 times a week, I like to lay down and play xbox and I'm crazy about watching soccer especially Barcelona games. I'm taking this course to improve my writing skills more and to learn how to write properly.
