Hi there,

In Saturday Night Show, Chris Gardener shared his story when he had suffered a hard time with his son,

he said in the conversation:

"Childcare was the hardest thing I had to do everyday and leaved my little boy with somebody I did not know and hope everything was ok . Man that told me the pieces everyday"

Can you explain for me the meaning of "the pieces" in this context ?

Thank you so much

It makes no sense as written. It could be a mishearing of "tore me to pieces" (greatly upset me). Also, "leaved" should be "leave", and "everyday" should be "every day".
