Recently,  I  read the book "Dead souls" by Nikolai Gogol.  the main character is Chichikov who wants to do some crime buying the "souls" of the died people .it's about human's vices which we can control if we think of consequences.Author thinks that We can destroy our soul by One action even if we don't harm anyone. I would recommend  to you to read it because it's very exciting book.

1. If you put "recently" first, it becomes a sentence adverb, and the reader expects the sentence to bear on the recentness, which it does not in this case.
