Topic : Compare/contrast organic farming and conventional farming?


These days, organic farming has been rapidly dominant in contrast with conventional farming. Firstly, since organic farms create less negative impacts on the environment than conventional farms. In fact, most types of fertilizer utilized in organic farms must be naturally derived, so it not only conserves biodiversity but also improves the soil structure. In several periods, whereas, synthetic pesticides giving plants the miraculous growth have been used in conventional farms, which causes severe damage to the farmland structure and kills the breeding of some beneficial insects. Thus, operating organic farming is much healthier to the ecosystem. Moreover, organic foods are commonly considered as safer for humans health in comparison to the convention foods. For example, in conventional animal husbandry, most farms are supplemented with antibiotics, growth hormones and preventive drugs for animals. These chemicals are extremely harmful to the human health in the long-run due to they will be purchased by humans.On the other hand, in organic farming, animals feed on organic and are allowed access to the outdoors where they feed on natural food such as grass. Besides, preventive measures including balanced diet, clean housing and rotational grazing are also applied as a way to minimize germs of disease. As a result, natural foodstuffs are also strongly recommended as good for human health. In conclusion, it is certainly undeniable that organic farms are likely to be more preferred at the table of today’s families while traditional food seems to be gradually lessened by its potential risks.
