Today I would like to introduce you to one of my fav books. The book is called" ein ganzes halbes Jahr" and was written by Jojo Moyes. The original language of the book is english, but I have read it in german. First I will tell you briefly what happened in the book. There are two protagonists. Will and Lou.
Will was earlier a succesful buisnessman, has a pretty friend and has travelled a lot. Up to this one day, which destroyes his life. He had an accident and became a paraplegic men, a quadriplegic, who is depend in all on foreign help. He can not resign himself to it and would rather die. Lou is the second protagonist. She lives at the age of 26 years still with her parents. She becomes jobless, as the café closes in she up to now has worked. She has no education and therefore less views on the job market. But her family is depends on the money.
How it goes on you can read yourselves. So now i say, why I like the book. The first pages of the book have me very much of thr film"Ziemlich beste freundin" remembered, because there are also 2 people who do not have could not be more different. Firstly, the succesful athlete and buisnessman, who sits then in wheelchair and who has to rely on each handle to help and hates his life. Secondly, a women who lives from humble beginnings and who has not experienced much of life and actually not expecting that much, but in the mediocrity is satiafied. Here neet 2 worlds and give each other a new impetus. I have nowhere sympathised a book so much how in this. The book has so deeply affected me, that I have read it in only 4 days and the book has more than 500 sides. By this book i see now the people with wheep chair completely different. The book moves to think about euthanasia, about family andabout his own life.
