Anonymous Should the prepositon following the word enlightened be, on.
I suppose it could be, but why not omit the phrase entirely? It is unnecessary:

She was unaware of the situation until Miss Kent enlightened her.

Both 'about' and 'on' are OK.

'On' seems more ' educated' and stylish to me.
