It’s heen three years I came to US.I dobt have much problem in communicating with people but when it comes to writing essay I get blank.I feel that I lack volcabularies and correct structure knowledge.I am applying for college this semester and I am not able to write my personal statement well.Please give me suggestions on how can I be better writer?

This is a minor* point, and not really what you are looking for I know, but one quick way to make your writing look better is to add spaces after your full stops. Another tip is to use a spell-checker. This will at least pick up things like "dobt" and "heen".

0Study grammar. Although the grammar in your post is OK, it is the one thing I would recommend to even a native writer. Get a book for building vocabulary. Learn maybe five new words a day. Read The Elements of Style for, well, style. The book is not perfect, but it is simple and direct. In fact read, read, read. People wrote what you read, and you can do what they did.
