have been / has been

1) This is the present perfect of the verb "be."
It is normal present perfect usage:

I am in London. I am sick (present)
I was in London. I was sick. (past)
I have been in London. I have been sick. (present perfect)

2) A second usage is in the passive form of the present perfect of any verb

He sent the pack
