Endoprosthetic procedures

Hello everybody,
I have two questions concerning this sentence.
1) Can you help me find more adequate expression for "According to the relevant papers on this subject"? Perhaps something shorter?
2) I'm stuck with the rest of the sentence. I am not sure whether the preposition "in" is OK here.
3) Any other suggestions are more than welcome.
Thank you in advance,
Antonija
