if you have a dialogue where someone is talking for several pargraphs
"this is the dialogue from paragraph one.
"here is the dialogue from paragraph two. here is the sentence i am referencing."ENDNOTE
now, i have read that the endnote goes after last punctuation in a sentence, however, in this case, it would make it sound like it was referincing the whole paragraph. should it instead be before the closing quote? Also, if i have a sentence such as this
This is the first part, and this is the second part.
if there is a reference for first part, and a reference for second part, and they are different, should i merge them both, separate their reference in the endnote by a ; and place it after the closing paragraph? thanks
