Vocabulary

endive

Hi,

This is what my Longman says:

(1) British English -> a vegetable with curly green leaves that you eat raw
(2) American English -> a vegetable with long white bitter-tasting leaves that you eat raw or cooked [ = chicory British English]

If you could answer the following two questions?

1. Most English speakers pronounce the second syllable
as [-daiv] (not [-div] ), don't they?
2. What is the AE for the BE "endive"?

mus-te
