What is the usefulness of the following officially established gobbledygook for ending letters?

Different cultures have different ways of ending letters, from "Very respectfully," in the US military if sending a note to a superior to "Sincerely," for a common business letter to "Kindly do the needful," in ending a letter of request in other areas where English is spoken.
