Ending an email with "Best"

Hello,

I just received a very important email that ended with:

Best,

[sender's name]

Just "Best" no regards, wishes or anything like that. Is it safe to assume this is a typo?

No, it's a closing (like "yours truly, sincerely yours, regards, or Love") that is used by some people.
