Ending a letter with Thank you / Thanking you, which one is correct?

Please let me know while ending a letter whether we have to use Thank you or Thanking you.

"Thanking you" by itself is not a suitable substitute for "Thank you."

Something like, "Thanking you for your kind attention,

Anonymous" would be okay, but it's a bit dated.
