Is it possible to encourage aversion toward reading?

Hello Antonia I think 'encourage' is used to express 'increase something good', and I don't think 'an aversion to reading' is a good thing. So probably I would say 'instigate/create an aversion to reading' or 'increase the aversion to reading'. paco

Hello Antonia

Yes, I think you can say so. Please note that 'aversion' is usually used as a countable noun in English. So, it would be "create an aversion in/among them to/toward reading" or " create an aversion to/toward reading in/among them".
