"Enclosure"

Hi, I would like to what does the usage of "Enclosure" in this case mean. The word "Enclosure" is placed at the end of a letter in this format:

Dear Sir,

[Body Text]

Sincerely,

Enclosure

I'm not sure what does it refer to. Does this mean there's something enlosed together with the letter or is it supposed to mean something else? Thank you in advance for your reply.

Yes, an enclosure is a separate piece of paper in the envelope. Usually it is something general or reference in nature. For example, in envelope with your bank statement, there may be an enclosure that is the bank's Privacy Agreement.
