Emotional generality?

Hi everyone.
Could you tell me what "logical and emotional generality" means?
Philosophy can help us fell distant ills and move us to take action in the way of preventive steps against them. The inter-relation between logical and emotional generality is one of the interesting problems which philosophy can illuminate.
Thanks!

Terms like these are usually defined by the person who uses them. In this case, it is the philosopher Bertrand Russell. I'd have to read a lot more of his text to answer your question properly.
