Emotional burden.

if a woman exercises her given rights by reporting an abusive husband, her husband get angry with her, the neighbours get angry with her..... can I call this situation : emotional burden. I am thinking this way because I am trying to see if this can be a burden that is added to alrady existed problem that women have ( productive, reportductice)

The situation itself is not "emotional burden". A burden is something that is put upon another. Therefore the woman may feel emotionally burdened or pressured into withdrawing her allegations. Equally, she may not feel that at all.

A burden is something one carries--whether it was put upon you or you took it on.
