Embedded Questions

Hey everybody, can you tell me which one of the following is more correct :

1. I don't know who will be the elected president.

2. I don't know who the elected president will be.

I myself think that the second one is correct but my English teacher insists that the first one is correct because of the use of a complement. I am myself confused which one to use.
