Embarrassing story issue

Hi, i should write the embarrassing story for the questionnaire at work. Could anyone check it please?

One time, later in the evening I hurried to the theater with my girlfriend and got dressed quickly. After that I jumped on the Subway and rush to the theater. But suddenly i realized that i were wearing the wrong shoes, on my feet were disgusting black old boots. Finally i came to the theater but it was strange and embarrassing.
