embark/go on an eating frenzy

Every evening, the bats embark/go on an eating frenzy where they consume several tons of insects.

Hi,

I think embark and go fit in the above and mean about the same, don't they? Thanks.

Ugh, you're still at the cave, aren't you? Yes, "go" is fine. "Embark" of course gives more of the sense of a great journey, kind of silly since it's happening every night but since collectively they're eating several TONS of insects, I suppose we can stand to use a weightier verb.
