Email writing query

0 I am writing an enquiry email to someone in the recruitment team of a company I would like to work for. I do not know this person but have been given their address by somebody else. I am struggling on the formal nature of the opening and closing of the email. For example I have been told the person's name is Sally Bacon 02br

0 To be honest, it doesn't hurt to keep things formal on the first contact, so I would stick to Ms Bacon if I were you. Why do you feel this is weird? You are not writing to a pen-pal, you are writing an important business e-mail!
