My supervisior asked me if we should submit my paper to a conference or a journal. I want to tell him i totally trust him to make that decision so I wrote,

"Regarding submitting the paper to a journal or a conference, the decision rests with you and Dr. Fabien and I totally trust your judgment."

is there a better way to say it

If sending to a journal is what you want, and you'd like to express your respect to them, you may try something like:

I myself prefer sending it to a journal. However I completely trust your and Dr. Fabian's final decision.

Don't say that you are pleased of their suggestions. It's rude, especially towards your supervisors.

SoSaysSunnySubmitting a paper to a journal means having it published in a journal.
Would that it were so. Of the many papers I have submitted to journals in my life, only a handful have been published.
