Lovely to hear from you. It was definitely a great pleasure to dine with you on Monday night. Hope you had a good time at the party! And it was an amazing coincidence that you are my tandem partner!

Every language learner has a reason to learn a foreign language. As a Japanese learner, I find Japanese a very elegant language because it retains the use of a broad array of honorific language to address or refer to different types of people or just to add a feeling of politeness or respect to a word. The use of honorific and humble forms was abolished in many languages already, among those being Chinese (in its contemporary form). So it's awesome that Japanese respect language is well-preserved to this day and throughout generations.

I believe the best way to improve speaking is by speaking, speaking a lot! So I'm more than happy to have the chance to befriend a native speaker of Japanese. Just wondering if we could meet at a place convenient to you to share our experience in learning and life.

Hoping to see you soon!
