Email to hr stating the location preference

Dear Mam,

Hope you are doing good.

XYZ has kindly hired me for the position of ...., and email is a request for allocation of Mumbai as my place of work.

I am compelled to make this unusual request with regards to the current situation at my home in Mumbai. My father is a retired officer with major health and blood pressure issues and my ageing mother suffers from mobility impairments, thus they constantly need my presence and assistance with the daily activities as my only sister is now married.

Taking this into consideration I have agreed for an early marriage proposed in next eight months, if only I am settled in Mumbai. Since my stay out of Mumbai might hamper my parents’ well-being and cancel my marriage plans, it will be difficult for me to relocate. I will be extremely grateful if you can acknowledge my concerns and find it possible to assign me Mumbai.
