Email to employer asking for another start day

I'm writing an email asking for another date to start working since the original date is no longer available. Could you correct it please? Thank you.

I'm sorry but I will be supposed to move items out to my new apartment in Monday morning. Will that be okay if I start working on Tuesday May 7th instead, or do you prefer a particular day when there are other new workers coming in?
