Email to a study participant

Hi guys,

I am working at a lab and this is an e-mail to a participant. The study involves with Spanish-English bilinguals but according to the participant's profile, it seems like she is a English monolingual. So I would like to confirm that she is a bilingual in advance. I would like to ask this as formal and polite as possible. Could you please proofread and correct the e-mail below? Thank you so much.

Thank you for participating in the Cultural differences in language learning study.
Your appointment is scheduled from 11:00 to 11:40.
However, I was just notified that the lab room needs to be occupied around 12:00.
So, I was wondering whether you could reschedule your time.
Also, just to make sure, as this is a language learning study for Spanish-Enlgish bilinguals, could you please confirm me that you speak both English and Spanish. You don't need to be fluent in Spanish.

mango banana Thank you for participating in the Cultural differences in language learning study. If you're using a capital for 'Cultural' then I think you should use capitals for the rest of the study title. Presumably 'Cultural Differences in Language Learning study'.

  • mango banana Thank you for participating in the Cultural differences in language learning study.
  • If you're using a capital for 'Cultural' then I think you should use capitals for the rest of the study title.
  • Presumably 'Cultural Differences in Language Learning study'.
  • I'd say the 's' of 'study' is optional, dependent on whether or not it's part of the title.
  • The rest is generally okay although I guess I may phrase things a little differently; the only thing I'd really change from a British-English perspective is the use of 'confirm me'.
