Email to a friend about to leave the shelter

I'm writing an email to a friend I met in the shelter, where I volunteer. Its name is Transitions. Please help me proofread this email.---------------------------------------------------I came to Transitions today (Thursday) but they said they had enough help so I left. I thought you were busy and I wanted to catch the bus which was going to come back after dropping me off at Transition. I wish I could meet you today for the last time to know more about you and say goodbye to you again. I realized I didn't know much about you. I didn't hear you clearly, so I'm wondering whether you are going to a school to study or teach after you leave Transition.

Thanks again for your book. I don't have time to read it currently, but I will definitely do it.
