Email

Hi,

I'm not a native English speaker, however, English is the language we use very often in our daily email communication at work.

As I am working in a "rather conservative / traditional" Chinese company, sometimes I worry about the tone used in email, especially for some occassions. I don't know the tone I used to express my thoughts would offend superiors or not. Any advices and tips? Thanks in advance!

Hi, Welcome to the Forum. 'Tone' is very difficult to learn, and to teach. You have to write and read English for quite a long time to get a feeling for it, and it is very closely related to the culture in which you live.
