Em dash

Use your charisma, money or knuckles to convince people to help you but keep an eye open — there may be some that would prefer you took the truth to your own grave…

Is the use of the dash correct in this sentence? This excerpt is supposed to be somewhat dramatic and I've read em dashes are often used to emphasise the conclusion of a sentence.

Another way to add emphasis is to use a exclamation mark.

eg Use your charisma, money or knuckles to convince people to help you, but keep an eye open as there may be some that would prefer you took the truth to your grave!
