Em dash

Hello! I've noticed many people like to use em dashes in English. I'm one of them. However, my Portuguese keyboard doesn't have one. I don't if English keyboards have it.But usually, when I want to use an em dash on my computer, normally I see myself forced to go to a Web page where there's, at least, one em dash, copy it, and paste it where I want to write it.

This process takes a little time... I'd like to know if you have any suggestion. Maybe a shortcut I could use on my keyboard. Any suggestions?

Mister Micawber's suggestion doesn't work for me.

I have Windows Vista, and I make an em dash by holding down Fn and Alt and typing 0151 (on the MJIJ keys).

Oh, I'm sorry, Rover. I only saw your post after posting mine. Thank you also for your suggestion! Apparently, both work for me. And I also have Vista. Thank you also for your link!

No, they don't. You could also paste one from Word.
