ellipsis

Hello,
I am writing my Bachelor thesis focused on the ellipsis used in the lyrics. Does anyone know whether the sentence "Open up your mind and let me step inside (your mind)." includes the ellipsis of (your mind) in the second clause or is it ok to just leave the sentence with the adverb at the end without any modification? Thank you. Petra

For poetry and song lyrics, the strict rules of grammar are often bent. There is a name for this, "poetic license."
