I was wondering if it would be possible to eliminate the second word 'would' in this sentence: I would also greatly appreciate it if you would answer my question.
In other words, is the second word 'would' necessary in that question?
Another example:
I would appreciate it if you would/could help me Vs. I would appreciate it if you help me
