Teaching

Eliciting.

‘You will meet a handsome man’ (‘will’ for predictions) & Although (conjunction).

I am a new teacher, merely a trainee teacher while studying my TEFL. I do wish to be the best possible teacher that I can be. I did have have some difficulties eliciting the above from students of intermediate level. I was presented with the above task and to be honest struggled. Any suggestions on how to elicit the above or further help with how to elicit from students appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Intermediate students should understand the structure 'you will meet' I would surprised unless they are lower intermediated that they already know the whole phrase so I would approach it on a test teach test basis. You could have photos and play to the girls in the group until you get handsome, then modal and drill but I doubt you need to. What are your lesson Aims?
