0Even though an elevator usually has a minimum of two doors in action (there is a door on the cabin and one on the landing), the common phrase is "Please hold the door," in the same manner that we ask someone to hold even those large two-panel doors at a supermarket. Elevators which have a voice prompt will on the other hand say "Doors are closing."02br
