Vocabulary

Elevated / moving

Hi teachers,

1. First-time unemployment claims are still elevated, but four-week moving average is 474,000, the lowerest in more than a year.

What is "elevated" and "moving average"?

2. When growth persists, bosses give part-time workers more hours or bring on temporary workers.

Is it "bring on" or "bring in"?

Thank you.
