elder or older?

0 I am not sure which one of the following two sentences is correct.02br
00i) John is the elder of my two sons.02br
00ii) John is the older of my two sons.02br

00I think first should be the correct one but google results for this sentence were few and they were still greater for the second.(hope didn't make any mistake in this sentence)02br
