Either ... or (parallel structure)

Are the following sentences both correct?, and which one do sound better?
First sentence is extracted from Writing Book.I change the first sentence to second one.

"Air pollution may come either from the ocean as natural contaminants given off by sea life or from the internal combustion engines of automobile."
