"either" or "both" ?

I'd like to learn how to use "both" and "either" correctly.

For example,
I don't like cats.
I don't like dogs.

Then, are these sentences correct?
I don't like both cats and dogs.
I don't like either of cats or dogs.

Thank you in advance for your help:)
