Either

Hi,teachers I have questions.

I have no money and no car ,either.

Should this usage of either be used only when two things being talked are both negative one like above?

Can't I use either when one of them is affirmative in the way like below?

There are things what I can do and what I can't do ,either

To me this has a dull ring to it. I don't think this is correct. Either- is usuall

As Canadian indicated, one is good and one is not, though he repaired your relative pronoun. These are OK:

I have no money and no car, either. (neg + neg)

There are things that I can do and that I can't do, too. (aff + neg)

You should use "that". But you still can't use "either". That's why I gave you a [N]

Hi, thank you three for replying to me. But I'm still unable to clearly understand it.

Here an example from OED:

either adv 2 used to add extra information to a statement.

I know a good Italian restaurant. It's not far from here, either.

To me either here seems to be used in affirmative+negative statement.

'Not far from here' (= near here) is a positive concept.

Thank you Mister Micawber.

Could below be OK?

Jane is always funny. She studies math tirelessly, either.

No, you're right. I'll have to think more about this, unless someone else answers you first. Right now I have to go to work!

I think below (negative form but having a positive concept )would be ok.

Jane is always funny. She is not lazy, either.
