either

0Here is some words about a movie review:02br

00Today's movies have never seemed less interested in figuring out what women want. That's hardly surprising when -- for the summer months at least -- they've practically written off the entire 01i00adult02i00 population.02br
02br
00But they're not interested in what girls want 01font00either02font00, not unless it involves Angelina Jolie firing semi-automatic weapons while driving through a storefront at high speed.02br
02br
001. "either" is used in a negative statement following the previous negative statement. But according to the first sentence---" Today's movies have never seemed less interested in figuring out what women want"---it is a affirmative meaning only expressed in a double negative way. Am I wrong?02br
02br
002. It is very hard for me to understand the whole meaning because I don't even know any frame of the movie. So could anyone be so kind to help me paraphrase these sentences?0-

00So you mean "movie makers aren't interested making movies for women" in the first sentence---"Today's movies have never seemed less interested in figuring out what women want"-- but its meaning seems to be "Today's movies have seemed more interested in figuring out .....". If "less" is omitted here, it may be your meaning. Or "less" here
