Eighth Platform

0 Snapshot 02br
00Down on your porch, 02br
00At the break of day, 02br
00Idle and indolent, I lay 02br
00My head hanging loose down the rise 02br
00A hazy moon is waving in my eyes 02br
00There, in Cassandra like presence of narcissi 02br
00The painter’s pallets are the whores in ecstasy 02br
00And on a pond somewhere nearby 02br
00A water lily vanishes in agony 02br
00I hear the percussion of your sole 02br
00 The April breeze plays on the strings of my soul 02br
00The waning night is brimming over with your perfume 02br
00And the fireflies are dancing in delirium 02br
00The percussion stops 02br
00You touch my burning lips 02br
00And, I sip you dry, through your fingertips 02br
00Then, the mute conversation of the eyes 02br
00And my ignominy for all my lies 02br
00The warmth of your lips on my eyelid 02br
00And your soft whisper in my ear 02br
00‘Lily is dead and the pond is dry 02br
00It’s time to fly, butterfly’ 02br

00 Eighth Platform 02br
02br
00I believe in a prophet who lives in south station 02br
00He never believes in love or salvation 02br
00He preaches the anti word of a prodigal god, 02br
00Who bottled off on the seventh night 02br
00 Heading north, in a V.I.P compartment 02br
00Probably to study creation management 02br
00Hence, the prophet was left without a word 02br
00Without a trace of the runaway lord 02br
00Now, every morning, my king of messengers 02br
00Rises among the swarming hordes of passengers 02br
00ON the eighth platform, he tunes and tallies his hollow words 02br
00To the rusty blues of grim railroads 02br
00He blesses those who miss the train 02br
00A portion of his holy jar kills the pain 02br
00The prophet of the south station 02br
00Never casts love or damnation 0-

0 Hello, Maestro, 02br
02br
00 Thank you, and 'bottle off' is an expression often used by a friend for 'run away' and when I asked him 'where it comes from?' he pulled out his Collins digital pocket dictionary and there it was among the synonyms for 'run away'. I couldn't find it anywhere else, but I like it 02br

0 Hello, Mr. pedantic, 02br
02br
00 Thank you for all this mephistophelean informations about the bottle, as I read it, I can feel the cold sweating body of a glass of Guinness or of a Lefe between my fingers, you should consider that for someone who lives in a place where there is nothing but pubs, bars, night clubs,...the temptation could be unbearable. 02br

0 There's also "bottle in", used when you refer to feelings you keep locked up inside, but little do I dare mention it after MrP's thorough survey of the bottle... 02br

...Who bottled off on the seventh night...

It's a mysterious phrase, in this context; but none the worse for that. I'd be inclined to keep it.
