Ego Rush

There is a woman whose boy friend is so popular among other women.

So she feels jealous and said as follows;

"He says he's in it for the money, but I'm not sure, it's got to be an ego rush for him."

What is 'Ego Rush'?

Would you please explain me what she'd really like to say?

Top answer

Your ego is 'the opinion that you have of yourself and your own importance'. A rush is 'a sudden surge of sensation'. Putting those together makes an 'ego rush', a sudden, strong feeling of being very important or superior.

Mr. Micawber,

Thank you so much for your reply.

I could understand that it's a combination of two words.

I'll think about the entire meaning from your explanation.
