Effect that you get in school

The speaker tried to test the audience and see what they can remember. Here I don't understand what is "an effect that you get", thanks for helping

And I did this to illustrate that it's an effect that you get in school, in university, in your job and daily life, that there is still too much information, that feeling that you've learned something and that it is simply not really accessible to you
