E.e.cumming's poetry

Nowadays, I have learned about interesting American poet, e.e.cumming.

Actually, I don't know the reason why he writes his name in small letter. Also I think his poems look very strange on the printed page.

why

don't

be

sil

ly

, o no in-

deed;

money

can't do(never

did&

never will) any

damn

thing

:far

from it; you

're wrong, my friend.

For me,this printed pase looks very unusual and strange. I want to know why this poet writes this unusual way

and I'd like to know the real meaning of this poem.

Is this poem's theme about the characterstic of money?

Does he suggest that money is useless?

Then why does he think about the money? I am really curious about those things. Emotion: smile

Basically, cummings writes that unusual way so that you will pay attention and think freshly and in a new way about what he is saying. Yes, for many things, money is useless, and he is trying to make you think about and understand that.

Then why did ******* write about the money's characterstic, which is uselesss?

Is it a good possibility that this poet doesn't like capitalism in America like the other writers in the twenties?:)
