Education

Many people use distance- learning programmes( study material, post, TV, the Internet, etc.) to study at home, but some people think that it can not bring the same benefits of attending college or university. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion ?

Nowadays, an increasing number of people use distance learning programmes for self- studying at home. However, whether these educational strategy has been effective as traditional schooling is a controversial issue. I completely agree with the view that using distance- learning resources bring the same benefits as well as attending college or university for the following reasons.

Firstly, modern education by using online resources enable students to approach early to the state- of- the- art knowledges. This is because most of ressearch, theory about economy, society, environment, medicine,... are initially published on the Internet before going in to textbook, curriculum university. Therefore, if students can obtain these up- dated knowledges, they will become more competitive, qualified employees in the future job market.

Secondly, distance learning programmes is much more convenient for student and university. For example,Topica college is one of the earliest online teaching institutions, has marked a milestone in modern education. Schoolers no need to attend the class every day, they have flexible learning schedules, even in the evening, access the website and pay attention to the lecture offered. Likewise, students are able to give the top priority to their jobs, university can benefit from saving schooling facilities, utilities such as hall building, teacher renting, etc…

This is not to say that we underestimate the concrete values of traditional teaching has made enormous contribution to society development. The 4.0 industrial revolution with 3-D technology, 5.G Internet worldwide,... are stem from traditional education. However, the time went by, education must be changed to adapt to developed society.

In sum, using distance learning programmes fundamentally bring the same benefits as traditional education, enabling students to keep pace with science and technological development and guaranteeing high rate of employment in future. Meanwhile, we should not ignore the important roles of researching centers, universities are undertaking, that distance learning resources can not deal with. Only by doing so can education maintain dynamic and sustainable teaching, thus making the society function well.
