Editing of paragraph/2

0I have formed a noun ,' edition',from a verb,' edit', by adding a suffix,' -ion' . In Cambridge Dictionaries Online,' -ion' is a suffix added to verbs to form nouns showing action or condition. As a result, edit + -ion = edition which means the action or condition of editing. However, the meaning cannot be found under the headword'edition' in popular dictionaries. Is the word grammatically correct if it is used in the sentence, ' I do not understand the logic of your edition.', and in other contexts ?02br

0Actually, 'edition' is not formed from 'edit' as your claim, but 'edit' is from 'editor'.02br

00'Edition' can mean 00a version: an account or description from a particular point of view especially as contrasted with another account. 02br
