Editing a paragraph...

Any suggestions on this paragraph are more than welcome Emotion: smile

It is true: life does not always smile to us. People who may hurt us, problems and difficulties will always be there. We don’t always choose where to be or what to do. However we DO choose which wolf we feed every day. If we feed the “evil” wolf, bad feelings like anger, anxiety, fear or jealousy will become part of us. If we feed the “good” wolf we will become a better person.

Capitalizing as you did with 'DO' is not acceptable in formal writing. There is also no point in placing quotes around good and evil if you haven't already done so for wolf. It is wolf that is being used unusually, not good and evil.

In addition to what Mister Micawber said, the right preposition for smile is at not to.

You can only use to with smile when you are smiling to yourself or when somebody smiles to himself.

Ah. Yes, now that hrsanei has brought it up, the idiom is actually 'on':

...life does not always smile on us.

The black-and-white picture of Bapu shouldn't smile on the bureau.

Just ask a Christian if *** smiles on the United States as one of his favored lands and see what answer you...

*** smiles on those with pure hearts.

Thank you Mister Micawber for your explanation.

I wasn't aware of such combination.

Thanks
