What`s the difference between these two?

I have played tennis for ten years.

I have been playing tennis for ten years.

And when using have been is the ed stucture OK?

I have been praised..

I have been requested..

I have been excited.

Hi Joe: Joe Kerr I have played tennis for ten years. I have been playing tennis for ten years. I prefer the progressive, to show a duration of activity that indicates my level of experience, but have not been able to come up with a good explanation as to why.

I have been playing tennis for ten years.
I prefer the progressive, to show a duration of activity that indicates my level of experience, but have not been able to come up with a good explanation as to why. If someone used the present perfect, I would interpret it the same way.
